Balloon is available in English, Japanese, Spanish, German, and French. Update to the latest version of Balloon to access the available languages.

How do I change Balloon’s language on iPhone?

You can choose a language for Balloon without changing the language of the rest of your iPhone:

  1. Open your iPhone’s Settings app.

  2. Tap Apps, then Balloon.

  3. Tap Language under Preferred Language.

  4. Select English, Japanese, Spanish, German, or French.

  5. Open Balloon again.

On older iOS versions, go directly to Settings → Balloon → Language.

Why did Balloon switch to Japanese or another language?

By default, Balloon uses the first language in your iPhone’s preferred language list that Balloon supports. After an app update adds support for a language in that list, Balloon may start using it.

For example, if your iPhone uses Korean and Japanese is listed ahead of English in your preferred languages, Balloon may appear in Japanese because Korean is not currently supported.

To use English instead, go to Settings → Apps → Balloon → Language → English. You don’t need to change your whole phone to English.

You can review your preferred language list in Settings → General → Language & Region.

What if I don’t see the Language option, or the language hasn’t changed?

Make sure Balloon is updated to the latest version. If the Language option is missing, check Settings → General → Language & Region and add your preferred supported language to the list, then check Balloon’s settings again.

If Balloon still shows the wrong language, close and reopen the app. If you still need help, contact us through Balloon’s support chat and tell us which language you selected and which language you see.

Is Korean supported?

Korean is not currently one of Balloon’s supported languages. You can choose English, Japanese, Spanish, German, or French using the steps above.
